Gift-wrapped house

This post is overdue, but I can't seem to find brainspace to write. But, we have a roof now, and windows! Most exciting. Now DH is busy plumbing in the fixtures.
Here's a picture:
The weird bright yellow is the house wrap. Odd plastic stuff that's supposed to protect it from the elements until you get the siding up. Not quite finished, as you see, but that last part is waaaay up there where only swallows want to venture. Until we got the windows in, the swallows were venturing inside the upstairs windows, while wrens were checking out the downstairs. I'm pretty sure the swallows have been scoping out the eaves for nest potential. Kind of awesome, but it would be nice if they could hold off until the siding and painting are done.
Meanwhile, we've been exploring appliances: An induction stove, because they're supposed to be much more efficient, since only the pots heat, not the stove, and a small refrigerator, because having a big one just leads us to waste food, and thus electricity. I have been annoyed to find that the 13.5 cubic foot one I want costs more than I could buy a full-size one for a family of four, for. That's ridiculous. Hoping to find it for less in the scratch and dent department.
